America Announces Qtech Online Certificate Program for HVAC
Technicians.
Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is all
set to launch a new sequence of online certificate courses –
Qtech – for HVAC technicians.

ACCA, an association of HVAC contractors, has recently announced
that it would be launching Qtech, which is a new series of
certificate courses for technicians in the field of HVAC.
Through this program, HVAC contractors can give their staff high
quality on-demand training in the core areas of HVACR like
installation, home performance, and maintenance. Technicians who
complete this course successfully will be given certificate
designations, which will let them to distinguish themselves in
this field. Furthermore, the programs have got approval for CEU
(continuing education unit) hours from many certifying
organizations.
“ACCA knows that contractors are looking for easily accessible
training, so that they can improve their skills and better serve
their customers. It has been proven that when contractors follow
ACCA’s quality standards their customers reap the benefits of
better comfort and lower energy bills. And the contractors
themselves reap the benefits of higher profit margins resulting
from fewer call-backs,” said theCEO and President of ACCA, Paul
T. Stalknecht. He went on to say – “The Qtech program helps
contractors train their technicians, and identify and reward
those technicians who excel at quality field service.”

Technician Field
Practices for Quality Installation, which is the first program in
this series, includes more than 6 hours of video training that meets
the ANSI/ACCA 5 QI-2015 HVAC Quality Installation Specification (QI
Standard). According to ACCA, a talented technician with the right
tools should have the ability to do repeatable and verifiable HVAC
measurements confidently after seeing these videos. Similarly, every
program in the series aims at training the technicians in a more
skilled manner.
On passing the final examination in this program, the technicians
will get a certificate that makes them qualified for CEUs from these
organizations: BPI, NATE, RSES, HVAC Excellence, and RESNET.
Moreover, industry leaders like Daikin, NationalAirWarehouse, and
Lennox are greatly encouraging their in-house teams to take up this
course and are more interested in hiring people with this
certificate. Those HVAC students looking forward to work with big
HVAC players in the market should certainly consider this program.
