Carmel Software Releases Mobile HVAC
Duct Sizer.
|
Carmel
Software announces that it was released a major update to its
very first mobile app ever developed: the HVAC Duct Sizer
(Universal). This app now runs on the Apple iPad in addition to
the iPhone. This means that the same app will run on both
devices and adjust its screen accordingly.
The HVAC Duct Sizer application allows users to quickly size one or
more runs of duct using the constant friction method. Think of it as
a digital version of the classic Trane Ductulator. It allows users
to size new duct systems by inputting air flow and velocity or
friction loss. It also allows users to size existing systems by
inputting duct dimensions and air velocity.
Additional parameters can be specified such as duct material
type, aspect ratio, duct shape, air temperature and pressure.

"When we first
released this app 4+ years ago, there were only 10 or so HVAC apps
on iTunes. Today, there are 1000s. Our Duct Sizer app has sold 1000s
worldwide over the past 4 years and has always been the highest
ranking HVAC duct sizer app on iTunes. Now, this app is available
for iPad users," says Stephen Roth, PE, principal of Carmel
Software.
The HVAC Duct Sizer is the perfect tool for HVAC technicians,
designers, architects, and even home owners. Please go to
